Sounds pretty good, especially your Script For My Requim cover. You have talent for screams.
What started in the underworld,
It should be finished here and now.

Hi,
I was away for military service for a year and came back  . I haven't played my guitar for months and just practiced a little, then recorded my latest cover.
The song is from "A Twist In The Myth" : Turn The Page .

Here is the stream play and download link : http://www.esnips.com/doc/b6a13665-e2bd ... n-The-Page

I sold my Crybaby WahWah pedal :( , so the lead guitars of the cover may need wahwah effect actually.

PS : I need a full "Wheel Of Time" guitar pro tab  .

I would love to hear that one...

Ah, sorry, I just forgot to reply. I tried it and it worked quite good - until ~ 1:00, then my right arm fell off. But I'll be at home on Friday and Saturday, then I'll try again! (the last weeks were quite busy as it's semester-beginning)

So I tried again - but the result shouldn't be shown in a video. I love playing bass but I never practised shredding to be able to pull off something like that. Sorry. ^^

Hi, Me and my B.G. covers again

This time it is FLY : http://www.esnips.com/doc/2d8ebae6-6faa ... 11a2d6/FLY

I tried to get the rigt sound for all instruments and it should be more close to original FLY now.
Audio volume is too low for web player on the link, you can download it at the same page. It is louder actually.

Hey everyone! It's been a while.. Teo has already made a topic at "The Piper's Calling" but I thought I should share it here too, since there are a few people watching this topic who might be interested.

We now have a name for our band, Sentry Ward, and we have the first complete song of our album. The song is called Waiting for Eternity and the album is going to be called Mysteries buried in the Sand

The link to hear the song and other important info are in my signature.

Hope you enjoy it :)

Also, we have to give special thanks to George Daole Wellman (power_dysfunction) who does all the sound-engineering stuff and edits the drums and keyboards. We also thank him in advance for all the work he's going to do for the rest of the album :)
Check out our band, Sentry Ward:

I'm surprised how positive reception this guy gets, imo his technique is not very developed. He just uses power (which he has) but nothing resonates or comes out as dynamic as on Hansi's version. I'd like to hear teoguardian's opinion also about his covers.

He started singing like... two years ago? Well, he obviously sang his whole life, but I think it wasn't until he entered that X-Factor and saw how people received him, that he started to seriously pursue it as a career.

So, um, yeah. His technique might not be the best under the sun, but I think it works for him and he obviously develops it constantly. And I think if you compare this, the War of the Thrones cover and this, he keeps getting better.

But then I've been a fan for a time, so I'm not really objective. :P

You do have a ridiculously high voice. Just... wow. Male voices are just not supposed to do that. I'm both envious and terrified...

Hey, guys. Remember me?

No? Really? A dude with a passion for screaming and covering BG songs?

No? Awww :(

Anyway, I came back from my 4 month military training course thing with an appetite for an overly ambitious vocal cover. And then there was silence, gentlemen. With its choirs and guitars and sitars and everything. Many thanks to Ryan Boc (Cream) for supplying the backing track:D I did make sure to credit you on YT, man.

Tell me what you think.

Thanks for your comment here and on youtube as well. About the tab, as I said on youtube, I'm too busy to do something about it at this period of time.

Now about the preset and the impulse, all I can say is that I used the Peavey head (the one which looks like a 5150 on amplitube 3 and has a 150W written on it). In front of it I used a tubescreamer (overscream on amplitube 3). The eq settings is something you would like to explore yourself, because it gives something personal to the sound so it would be better that we have something different ;) Impulse-wise I use the Fredman impulses mixed (2 rhythm guitar channels).

That's all I can say, sorry...As I said, I think it's better that we have something different sound-wise. After all, the overall sound is pretty much affected by the post processing I do and another procedure which is at the beginning of the whole recording process... ;)

I am not after an exact identical tone, but having a characteristic ( airy, bright, dark, whatnot) touch to the tone caused by a tonestack, impulse or post precess. I haven't managed to get a proper rhythm tone that fits well at my mixes. Some are too sharp, some are too smooth

Well, it took me almost half a year to deliver that result you're hearing...Only, I came up with all the settings using my other guitar which has EMG's. I haven't experimented with this one specifically (which has seymour duncan Sh5) but the same settings seem to do the job quite well.

Try to experiment with the amp settings first. Record something which has a variety at the patterns you play (tremolo picking, 8 notes' palm mutings, powerchords etc.) so that you have a nice overall sound when you find the best settings. Then set all knobs at noon and start changing them one at a time to get the best out of it. Remember, you don't need a lot of gain. And remember to bypass the cabinet when you're using an impulse, very important.

After this, you should experiment with post eq-ing, compressing, filtering, dynamics processing and that kind of stuff. Hope I helped...Have faith and courage on this quest! I've been there...

Sorry, that didn't help me much  No specific info about anything. These are the generic stuff while anybody is recording a song
I couldn't manage to get my desired rhythm tone but many Lead tones.

Btw here is "The Andre's lead guitar tone" at ATEOT if anyone wants:

Layer one : EMG81 loaded Guitar > Green Gate> TSE 808 plugin ( I use a real TS 808 pedal at the same settings) > Crybaby Wah Wah[Overloud Th2 Autowah can be used if you have no wah wah pedal ] > Amplitube German Gain(Engl Powerball amp) > Revalver Mk III.V RIR module loaded "englv30higherpress-1 " impulse floating on the internet don't forget the hi-res button on RIR to be ON > Stillwell vibe Eq > Softube spring Reverb > Revalver Delay 2

Look at the screens for exact settings :

Layer Two : (same except Amp for LE456 and Vibe EQ) : EMG81 loaded Guitar > Green Gate> TSE 808 plugin ( I use a real TS 808 pedal at the same settings) > Crybaby Wah Wah[Overloud Th2 Autowah can be used if you have no wah wah pedal ] > LePou Plugins LE456(Engl Powerball amp) > Revalver Mk III.V RIR module loaded "englv30higherpress-1 " impulse floating on the internet don't forget the hi-res button on RIR to be ON> Stillwell vibe Eq > Softube spring Reverb > Revalver Delay 2

Look at the screens for exact settings :

Post Process : High Pass Filter > Notch Filter > Low pass filter> Mastering Compressor ( I prefer sometimes a vintage Fairchild 670)> BBE Sonic Maximizer> A bit Plate Reverb> Brick wall

Only filter is constant, rest is dependant on your mix and background.
Filter is something like this : Image

PS: If there is any "Nightwish" fan I can provide a DPP and Imaginaerum tones.(you can listen to the tone from the link below). Here is my latest cover for Nighwish:
