festivals 2009

#1 Post by Traveller in Time » 19 Dec 2008 19:48

Instead of always creating a new thread for every festival BG will play at in 2009, i thought it is better to have one.

Ok here we are. Blind Guardian are going to play at the following festivals in 2009:

It'll now depend on the bands I suppose

You can buy Bootlegs there for 1 € each CD, so it is surely not for making money.
And Milan Skoda is familiar friend of BG, so he is allowed, i guess.

Holy Moly! The Masters of Rock is just some 140 km away from my place. Count me in, even if it's only for one day! :D But my "main festival" for this year will be most likely Metalcamp, it's just gorgeous. And if anybody is at BYH, call me. I'll probably be there too. This will be some friggin' sweet summer. :)

Metalcamp seems interesting. I've only heard good things about that festival, and they seem to have other decent bands besides BG too next summer. Maybe I should start planning. :)

@ThePKH
Metalcamp is indeed awesome. It's not too big (hey, I went to the stage 10 min before Meshuggah started and got a cozy place in the second row with enough space to spread my elbows...), the scenery is beautiful and - it's got a river with a beach bar. That plays Heavy Metal all the time. 8)

So a follower's tour through Metalcamp, BYH and Masters of Rock seems to be certain. Great. 8) I could offer some beds in Vienna if anyone wants to have a calm night and a shower between Metalcamp and MOR. :)

@The Rider of Rohan: You're really that surprised? When do they ever update their homepage? :lol: They didn't even announce Kobetasonik last year...

I don't have a Follower-T-Shirt either. Who cares. I'll be one of the enthusiastic guys filling the first 5 (or 10? or 20?) rows - with a Follower-shirt or without. :twisted:

't shouldn't be much more than 5 hours from Tolmin to Vienna and hardly more than 3 hours from Vienna to Zlin. Ideal for a tour. :lol:
