Bang Your Head 2009

#1 Post by t.a.j. » 15 Oct 2008 07:50

Seems like everyone's favorite sightless window dressing is playing Balingen this year (probably other festivals will be added to that list. Balingen ist mostly a traditional metal festival and I've bee wanting to go for quite some time now, so with one of my favorite bands playing there (also Lääz Rockit, who are quite amazing), looks like I will actually go this years.
Balingen is in southern germany, near the Schwarzwald.

The festival page is here: http://www.bang-your-head.de/home.php
http://www.gedichtblog.de
They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway.
They say that life's a game, then they take the board away.
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...

Still the goddamn Batman.

Stop saying indeed.

How does Y&T get billed with all them other goofy metal bands...? I can't imagine "Summertime Girls" and the like going down well with the taj crowd. Heh.

Indeedio!
You charge each other for the time and breath it takes to say 'good morning',
But the truth is slowly dawning -- things are getting out of hand,
We all pursue our shattered dreams along the roads to our own ruin --
Watch our empires sink and wash away like castles made of sand.
And so cast off the lies that are your lives and find the truth within.

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which
I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
it’s a very very...

Okay, this joke has gone far enough now.

And then the next person says...

Dang it! The next person was supposed to say "Indeed".

See, that would have been ironic. Because it would be continuing the joke while agreeing to kill it.

Sheesh. People around here just don't appreciate irony. :? :P

Bang, bang, bang your head
Gently down the stream
Heerschen, heerschen, heerschen, heerschen,
Life is but a dream!

Your flesh it rots away ?
Dreamland turned to realland and we faced a new frontier
We lost the world
Sometimes we hold it but it's slipping away
When we add reality it doesn't taste like our dream

Trapped inside this chocovarium!

Cool! Just a little advice, better watch your camera! :P
Free are those who walk away from setting suns
Free are those who laugh at chains that held them bound
Free are those who conquer in vain but won't stop to run

I was going to, and later on I decided not too (money is kind of scarce here, you know ;)), because all I would want to see was BG, but now Powerwolf is coming as well. It still depends a bit on financial stuff (how much I'm able to work in the next few months), but it should be managable.
