Salt and hangovers

#1 Post by The Rider Of Rohan » 05 Jun 2010 02:20

Somebody in the bar today told me that the best recipe for a hangover, is to take a large pinch of salt, put it on a spoon, and swallow two glasses of water.

I'll let you know tomorrow if it worked.

If that's the cure for hangovers I'm drinking every night!

That would be the reason for drinking two large glasses of water. All you are doing is replacing lost mineral salts, a rehydration pack such as dioralyte would be the same. It tastes minging though, when I was a poorly kid I used to feed mine to the cat!

I swear by a pint of milk the morning after, you feel even worse for an hour but then you're fine.

I just take a good dump in the hangover morning and it's over. It's as good as throwing up.

Well, it did work a little as I don't feel all to terrible.
Still it's hard to say, as I don't know how I would have felt if I didn't do it.

That's because you have to actually stop drinking in order to get a hangover. :P

Water with 0,9% of salt has increased absorption in our body.
