Wacken 2012

#1 Post by faery » 25 Nov 2011 15:03

We did not have a topic about Wacken next year yet, right?

Maybe not that weird, since I just checked what the line-up was so far, and it's not that special. Maybe it'll change, since there is still months left before it's August, but to me it does not seem that promising. Another year I'll forgo this festival, I think.

What do you guys think?

YEE-HAW MOTHERFUCKER!

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which
I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
it’s a very very...

...Mad world

It's sold out already, isn't it? Wasn't planning to go either way.
You charge each other for the time and breath it takes to say 'good morning',
But the truth is slowly dawning -- things are getting out of hand,
We all pursue our shattered dreams along the roads to our own ruin --
Watch our empires sink and wash away like castles made of sand.
And so cast off the lies that are your lives and find the truth within.

Not going. I'll prefer Metal Fest! 8)

:o Almost nobody from the forum is going to Wacken anymore...

Yep. I used to go to Dessau, but this years' date doesn't fit with my courses, so I'll be at Loreley. 8)
Nevertheless, I'm allowed to write a review of BG's gig for one of my seminars!

Shame indeed, considering the massive forum camps we had in the past. Is it because of the unfortunate way this festival has taken, I wonder?

For me, yes.

They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway.
They say that life's a game, then they take the board away.
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...

Grew tired of the damn festival a couple of years ago.. can't really say I miss it and can't really seem to find the line up all that impressive either.

Well, for me it's almost the same, Icy. ;) I really got tired and annoyed of Wacken after the masses I encountered in 2007. Never been there again, ever since.
You know something is wrong when you get punched (on purpose) during a BG show. :o
