The literal opposite of Beethoven...

#1 Post by TraneDeracs » 01 Oct 2009 02:36

I hereby warn all the guardians of metal, all the lovers of the classical masters, all the singers and growlers of doom, darkness, and the void...that this is the true enemy of all that is music. Be warned, for the evil you witness, if you choose to do so, might be unbearable to the impure at heart.

WTF! Someone actually managed to combine the worst of dance music with the worst of emo?

But what's Beethoven got to do with it?
You charge each other for the time and breath it takes to say 'good morning',
But the truth is slowly dawning -- things are getting out of hand,
We all pursue our shattered dreams along the roads to our own ruin --
Watch our empires sink and wash away like castles made of sand.
And so cast off the lies that are your lives and find the truth within.

Let's pretend that there is a scale from one to ten. One being the worst known in the universe and ten being something on a Beethoven like level. This band is the LITERAL opposite of Beethoven's style. Nothing technical, just basically the dead opposite of him as a musician.

If you mean by that that this band would score minus ten (on a one to ten scale), I'm inclined to agree.

Ok, then it does not work with people who think that Beethoven is not that great, like
Monsterrguurrl13 on Youtube, I don't even know if she likes Bethoven, or if she is actually a she, but she wrote:
"BC13 MOFO'SS! :D brokeNCYDE is aboslutely the most amazing screamo band noww :D i LOVEE themm! SE7EN I LOVEE YEWHH! LETS GET FREAKY NOW LETS GET FUCKING FREAKY NOWW! infinite starz! D: oh look its bree bree! brokeNCYDE rocks the universe <3"
She actually believes with all her heart that brokeNCYDE rocks the universe...

THE UNIVERSE!

You did not opened this topic with something like:
YO!!!! chill out powermetal dudes and dudettes! You know what's the Schizzle? BETHOVEN!!1!!1!! HE FUCKIN ROCK THE UNIVERSE! He is the most amazing classcical master now :D I LOVE THEM! BUT THIS BanD!: BrokeNTYCDE! They Suxoooor!!
Which makes me believe that brokeNCYDE can actually cause a greater emotional impact than Bethoven in the majority of people.

You, my friend, are just not that passionate.

Lol, actually on Da Speed Demon Community I would expect posts like that. Except for the fact that, over there, they would call Beethoven "da OVEN" (similarly: da ZART for Mozart, da RAK for Dvorak).

And yes, that actually is a forum about classical piano (or, as they call it, 'da 88') music. And 'tha 9th rappah' has nothing to do with rappers -- it refers to Liszt's 9th Hungarian Rhapsody.

From the 'official format for reviews' they have there...
Da BODY of da REVIEW should include a standard SDC timing analysis. Perferably a 3D statestical poisson or normal distribution curve of timing ranges of historical performances, wit da timeline on da Z axis.

Craziest forum ever.

I assume it' something awful. I can't listen to it right now because I have no speakers here.

The literal opposite of Beethoven? In that case I assume they were born deaf and regained their hearing later, but apparently didn't benefit from the ability. I will listen to the music later to prove my hypothesis.

Due to their music ofcourse.
