Who's your favorite Python (Monty) member?

#1 Post by Skyclad » 06 Apr 2009 20:28

Not just taking into account their Python work, but everything they've done since. I'd like to give the nod to my fellow American Terry Gilliam... his animation for the Flying Circus was truly hilarious, and he made some awesome films afterwards, but... I have to go with Eric Idle. I think he was the best Python actor, his music was always funny as hell (go listen to "Fuck Christmas!"), he did an amazing job doing the voice of Rincewind in the Discworld games, and everytime I see him on a talkshow, he's funnier than hell.

Was Eric in Fawlty Towers? John Cleese starred in it, but I don't remember Eric being in it. Maybe he was a secondary character I didn't see on the episodes I saw?

Oh fuck, now I've really mixed the two of them up... Guess I'd call both my favourites...

Hard to say. Graham Chapman maybe, since he was in my opinion the best actor of them. John Cleese on the other hand was to me the funniest.

since it was called 'Monthy Python' and not 'The Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin funny show' i am not favouring any single one of them.
